O U R S T O R Y

Yair De La Rosa began his culinary career at a young age working in Mexico City for his parents at their restaurant, La Tortuga which opened in 1968. In 2002 he relocated to New York City and began working as a dishwasher and attended ESL classes at the Hotel Pennsylvania . A few years later he moved to Naples, Florida with his family, there he worked with his brother who was an executive chef of a fine dining restaurant as a line cook while he continued to study the culinary arts.

A year later he began working as a Sous Chef, then Chef, then Executive Chef at fine dining restaurants across Florida. While in Florida, he was able to study under chefs who have had the honor of cooking for James Beard and the like. He believes in the “American Dream” and he says "When you love what you do and put your heart into cooking, the outcome will always be good". He is happy to be now located in Troy, New York and to work with Sunhees Jinah Ki the owner of Suhees Farm Kitchen
